The Mississippi Blues Queen
DeAnna began her singing career in front of audiences at age 8. Although it may sound cliche, it was at the Philadelphia MS Methodist Church adult choir which is where it all began. From there DeAnna entered the Neshoba County Fair talent contest and won Philadelphia MS our Little Miss. With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes she sang “Sweet Gypsy Rose” .
As DeAnna grew up, she moved to Clinton MS when at age 14 she began singing at the club “The Austin Grill” where her mom bartended. DeAnna sang with icons such as Maylon McAdams, Don Barrett, Dino Zimmerman, Ken Shaw, Ralpheal Semmes, all of who taught her to be a professional entertainer. At age 18, DeAnna put her own band together, Chemistry, which soon became popular all over the state of Mississippi. The experience with her band included countless shows in clubs, bars, casino’s, festivals, state and county fairs. At age 24 DeAnna moved to Nashville. She became demo singer working in major Nashville studio’s. She performed at the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as well as other venues in the area. DeAnna performed as a background singer for GC Cameron ’s Las Vegas show, who was the lead singer for the Spinners
As DeAnna continued to perform, she endured many of life’s trials and adversities. Through those years, she developed her own unique style and sound thus earning her the name “The Mississippi Blues Queen”. Being true to herself, DeAnna continues to put her heart and soul into each song and performance. Today, when not on the road touring, she performs at her own local restaurant.
With her powerful soulful voice and charismatic stage presence, she electrifies audiences everywhere. DeAnna is a true authentic high energy blues rock entertainer.
